“Selet-Tel” linguistic session was held for the first time in 2009 at the “Zvezdnyj” children’s recreation centre. In 2013, it received a year-round format and it is now implemented in the form of the Language School located at the “Selet Home”. Every year 220 children participate in the work of the “Selet-Tel” camp session. They are winners of all-Russian and international competitions and Olympiads who pass competitive selection based on their portfolios of achievements.

The educational programme of “Selet-Tel” includes lessons on the following languages: Tatar, English, Turkish, Spanish, French, Persian, German and Chinese.

The aim of the project is to create an environment where the talented youth can communicate in a foreign language and to give them the opportunity of profound study of foreign languages. A unique characteristic of the camp is that among its teachers there are not only local experts in the field of linguistics and philology, but also native speakers of the taught languages.
